    • Update with the latest EC2 instance types.

It seems like currently PlanForCloud is missing some of the newer instance types like 'High Storage' and 'High IO'.
Please update it with all the current(and future, as they are released) instance types.

      • Add Hierarchy to All Options

When selecting e.g. an AWS RDS instance it would be nice to have a hierarchy like Region -> Utilization -> License.

Thanks for the feedback. We have now implemented options to filter down by Cloud provider, region, software, purchase options, CPU count, RAM and also a free text search for things such as utilization. Would love to get your thoughts on this.

        • Define Global Region

When setting up a deployment I'd like to be able to set an optional region that pre-filters basically all options.

We now enable users to immediately filter their options by region, cloud provider and more specifics of their requirements. Would love to get more feedback on this new selection criteria from you. Thanks, Hassan

          • Which server/storage/database type should I choose?

There are currently hundreds of different types to choose from. Would you like to see a feature that asks a few questions and recommends which type of server/storage/database is suitable?

Our latest release comes with a much simpler way to choose servers, storage and databases. You can now filter our multi-thousand list of cloud provider components by cloud provider, cloud location, operating system, purchase option and specific CPU and RAM requirements. This is the easiest way to choose cloud resources and forecast their costs. Looking forward to your comments on the new selection. Hassan

            • Add SoftLayer to your Cloud listing

SoftLayer has over 100,000 servers under management and data centres in Asia, Europe and the US.

They have an automated technology platform with a very robust API.

They have only of the only hybrid models where virtual (cloud) and dedicated boxes can be easily scaled up across platforms.
